Ottomans and Balkans: Sciences and Centers, 1500-1800

This research project aims to establish an international platform to evaluate the intellectual works of the Balkans—also referred to as Ottoman Europe—through an interdisciplinary lens. The primary goal is to uncover the sciences and intellectual hubs in the Balkans between 1500 and 1800. This project also seeks to integrate this heritage into modern contexts.

By analyzing historical intellectual hubs, connecting them with contemporary cultural dynamics, and developing a forward-looking roadmap, this initiative promises to contribute significantly to both academic scholarship and cultural integration efforts.
