Center for Political, Economic and Social Research today successfully held the first-panel discussion on the Migration and Western Balkans: Case Study – North Macedonia. The speakers of the panel were Prof. Dr. Gadaf Rexhepi from South East European University, Dr. Elisabeta Bajrami Ollogu from Mother Teresa University, and Prof. Dr. Mevludin Ibishi from the International Balkan University. On the panel, the focus was emphasized on the social aspects of migration, why young people leave the country, what are the social factors, the age, and gender of the population that is leaving, etc. From the economic point of view, migration has been elaborated from the context of what are the economic effects of migration and the impact on the macroeconomic indicators of the RMV and the instruments for the prevention of migration. And finally, the reasons for the phenomenon of the increasing trend of migration in the RMV were addressed from an international point of view.
