APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE “OTTOMANS AND THE BALKANS” PROJECT

Applications are now open for the “Ottomans and the Balkans” project within the scope of the Balkan Youth School, organized by the Balkan Studies Foundation and supported by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.

This project aims to go beyond the traditional historiography that interprets Ottoman history merely through concepts such as exploitation, war, oppression, revolts, and the blood tax. Instead, it seeks to provide a comprehensive perspective by examining topics such as intellectual thought, economy, culture, urbanization, bureaucracy, relations with Europe and the Balkans, and the role of scholars (ulema). Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Ottoman history through seminars, book readings, documentaries, and research. Additionally, they will directly engage with historical heritage through visits to significant Ottoman landmarks in Bursa and Istanbul.

High school seniors and university students from Norths Macedonia are eligible to apply.

The project will take place during April, May, and June and will be completed within three months.

BALKAN GENÇLİK OKULU 2025

“OSMANLI VE BALKANLAR” PROJESİ BAŞVURULARI BAŞLADI

Balkan Çalışmaları Vakfı tarafından düzenlenen ve Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Toplulukları Başkanlığı tarafından desteklenen Balkan Gençlik Okulu kapsamında, “Osmanlı ve Balkanlar” temalı projenin başvuruları başladı.

Bu proje, Osmanlı tarihini sadece sömürü, savaş, zulüm, isyanlar ve kan vergisi gibi kavramlar üzerinden ele alan geleneksel tarih yazımının ötesine geçerek; düşünce, ekonomi, kültür, şehircilik, bürokrasi, Avrupa ve Balkanlarla ilişkiler, ulema gibi konular üzerinden bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Katılımcılar, seminerler, kitap okumaları, belgeseller ve araştırmalar aracılığıyla Osmanlı tarihine dair bilgilerini derinleştirme fırsatı bulacak; ayrıca Osmanlı devletinin Bursa ve İstanbul’daki önemli eserlerine düzenlenecek gezilerle tarihî mirasla doğrudan buluşacaklardır.

Projeye Kuzey Makedonya lise son ve üniversite öğrencileri başvurabilir

Proje, Nisan-Mayıs-Haziran ayları boyunca devam edecek ve üç ay içinde tamamlanacaktır.

SHKOLLA RINORE  BALLKANIKE

JANË HAPUR APLIKIMET PËR PROJEKTIN “SHTETI OSMAN DHE BALLKANET”

Në kuadër të Shkollës Rinore Ballkanike   organizuar nga Fondacioni për Studime Ballkanike dhe e mbështetur nga Kryesia për Turqit Jashtë Shtetit dhe Komunitetet e Lidhura, kanë filluar aplikimet për projektin me temë “Shteti Osman dhe Ballkanet”.

Ky projekt synon të tejkalojë qasjen tradicionale të historiografisë, e cila e trajton historinë osmane vetëm përmes koncepteve si shfrytëzimi, lufta, shtypja, kryengritjet dhe taksa e gjakut. Në vend të kësaj, ai do të shqyrtojë periudhën osmane nga një këndvështrim gjithëpërfshirës përmes temave si mendimi, ekonomia, kultura, urbanizmi, burokracia, marrëdhëniet me Evropën dhe Ballkanin, si dhe roli i dijetarëve (ulema). Pjesëmarrësit do të kenë mundësinë të thellojnë njohuritë e tyre mbi historinë osmane përmes seminareve, leximeve të librave, dokumentarëve dhe kërkimeve. Gjithashtu, ata do të takohen drejtpërdrejt me trashëgiminë historike përmes udhëtimeve në veprat e rëndësishme osmane në Bursa dhe Stamboll.

Për projektin mund të aplikojnë nxënësit e vitit të fundit të shkollave të mesme dhe studentët universitarë nga Maqedonia e Veriut

Projekti do të zhvillohet gjatë muajve prill, maj dhe qershor dhe do të përfundojë brenda tre muajve.
