Skopje Academy aims to help participants develop a perspective on the world, the Balkans, cities, societies, and people. It seeks to engage participants through listening, reading, and writing processes with an interdisciplinary approach, placing social sciences at its core. Skopje Academy has been an ongoing educational program since 2016, consisting of four modules. The first and second modules feature seminars, the third includes a reading group, and the fourth involves the article-writing process. Since its inception in 2016, a total of 100 students have graduated from the program.
The 7th Student Symposium of the Skopje Academy will take place between 18 – 20 September 2026 at the Balkan Studies Foundation in Skopje. A total of 10 sessions will be held, during which 39 graduates will present their papers. This year’s graduates come from Türkiye, North Macedonia.
