Center for Balkan Digital Humanities (BDH) was established!

The Center for Balkan Digital Humanities (BDH), established under the Balkan Studies Foundation, aims to facilitate in-depth studies of political, economic, historical, and social issues using digital and technological approaches, fostering academic research through applied projects.

By focusing on digital humanities, the center plans to drive new disciplinary and interdisciplinary research, organize educational activities, and host academic meetings to enhance scholarly output across the Balkan region. The center will collaborate globally, leveraging partnerships with universities and institutions to integrate international knowledge into Balkan contexts. It will curate digital publications and physical resources, establishing a comprehensive database and library to support future research endeavors.

Additionally, the center will engage with Balkan universities to develop educational curricula, conduct training sessions and workshops, and nurture a community of researchers passionate about digital humanities.
