3rd International Balkan Studies Congress Successfully Completed

The 3rd Balkan Studies Congress, organized by the Balkan Studies Foundation in cooperation with the Istanbul Medeniyet University , International Balkan University, İLEM Association, and supported by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities was successfully completed.
The 3rd Balkan Studies Congress took place between 1 – 2 September on the premises of the Istanbul Medeniyet University.
At the opening ceremony opening remarks were given by Assist. Prof. Dr. Bujamin Bela, president of the congress, Dr. Sevba Abdula, director of Balkan Studies Foundation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Eğri, director of İLEM Scientific Studies Association, Prof. Dr. Fatih Sarioğlu, vice-rector of Istanbul Medeniyet University, Murat Kazancı, vice-president of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.
In the second day of the congress, a special session was held on the topic “Türkiye – Balkan Relations on the 100th Anniversary of the Republic” with the former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop.
On September 2nd, during the congress, 44 participants from 11 different countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Türkiye, Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Morocco, Slovenia, and Nigeria, presented their scientific papers that have been selected in the peer-reviewed process.
