In today’s panel discussion, titled “The Implications of Migration on the Labor Market and Workforce in the Countries of Origin: An Approach to the Western Balkans” Assist. Prof. Dr. Elisabeta Bajrami Ollogu took part as the moderator, with panelists Prof. Dr. Mimoza Dushi and Prof. Dr. Merita Zulfiu Alili. Prof. Merita has examined issues related to changes in the workforce and their impact, analyzing the key factors of the labor market. Based on the presented statistics, various professions have been addressed, and the main reasons affecting the domestic workforce have been identified.

Meanwhile, Prof. Mimoza has focused on analyzing the professions and needs of the diaspora, as well as the strategies it follows. She has also addressed the existing gaps in state structures, which the diaspora can fill through its engagement. Another important focus has been the impact of diaspora capital investments and the effects they bring on economic development.
