The panel, organized as part of the project ‘Balkan Periodicals: Trajectory of Islamic Thought (1918–1990)’ conducted by the Balkan Studies Foundation and supported by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), was held on 18 October 2025 at the Yunus Emre Institute in Prizren.
The event began with opening remarks by Dr. Sevba Abdula, Director of the Balkan Studies Foundation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Köroğlu, Project Coordinator of Balkan Periodicals.
The panel discussed the development and transformation of Islamic thought in Albania and Kosovo during the period 1918–1990 as reflected in periodicals.
Dr. Ferid Piku moderated the session, with Dr. Besir Neziri, Dr. Fation Shabani, and Dr. Rexhep Suma participating as panelists.
