Semran Murtezani was born in 1995 in Skopje. In 2017, she obtained a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Tetova. In 2022, she completed her master's studies at the South East European University and defended her thesis titled The Legal Framework of Nuclear Weapons in International Law. She has also completed a specialist course on international refugee law at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo, and UNHCR Serbia. Additionally, she finished the Legal Clinic at the Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje and UNHCR Skopje and the Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities under the framework of the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.
