Opening Ceremony of the International Symposium on Balkan Periodicals: Trajectory of Islamic Thought 1918-1945

Today, the opening ceremony of the International Symposium on Balkan Periodicals: Trajectory of Islamic Thought 1918-1945 was held at the Yunus Emre Institute. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Sevba Abdula, director of the Balkan Studies Foundation, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Köroğlu, project coordinator. This was followed by the Keynote Speech by Prof. Dr. Orlin Sabev on Print media in the Ottoman context: intellectual, political, and social aspects. The program will continue with presentations by other participants throughout the day.
