History
Balkan Studies Foundation is the continuation of the Fettah Efendi Education and Thought Association, which was founded in September 2016 by young academicians, students, and young businessmen based in Skopje. It has been reorganized under a different institutional framework due to the spread of the activities carried out under the umbrella of the association and the necessity of including all of the Balkans. Between 2016 and 2022, it carried out thousands of activities in the field of education and has carried out considerable activities and studies in the field of research and publication. As of September 2022, it carries out activities with research centers, training centers, and publishing houses under the name of the Balkan Studies Foundation.
Aim
- To contribute to the development of the social good, strengthening the phenomenon of coexistence and regional development by giving importance to national and international cooperation by operating in the fields of scientific research, education, and publication in North Macedonia and other Balkan countries.
- To carry out scientific, educational, and publication activities for all social groups and individuals living and in North Macedonia and other Balkan countries without any discrimination of religion, language, race, color, or gender.
- To operate by establishing research and training centers in the field of Balkan Studies.
- To establish institutes and university in the field of Balkan Studies.
- Engaging in publishing activities, including establishing a publishing house in Balkan Studies and other fields.
- Under the framework of Balkan Studies, to organize research projects, congresses, symposiums, workshops, reports, etc., based on scientific activities of societies, communities, individuals, the state, economic structures, and social groups in North Macedonia and the Balkan region. to organize, share, and publish with relevant stakeholders.
- To produce and publish all kinds of visual, written, internet sites, and social media platforms that will consider Balkan Studies.
- All kinds of periodic and periodic publications such as movies, theater, magazines, bulletins, books, newspapers, and mass media at national and international levels in English, Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, and other languages by cooperating with individuals and organizations that will contribute to Balkan Studies at home and abroad. to publish newspapers and magazines) and to carry out press-publishing activities. In addition, to carry and publish audio, video, and written broadcasts on the internet, to broadcast as a news or research site on the internet, to help their publication, to pay royalties on these issues, to establish a foundation with domestic and foreign private and official institutions that broadcast on the internet and similar. and to cooperate within the framework of their interests.
- Supporting researchers doing research in the field of Balkan Studies with in-kind and cash aids.
- To establish training and supplementary education centers to support the studies and research of students studying in Balkan Studies and other fields, to organize scientific, social, and cultural trips, seminars, and conferences, to provide all kinds of financial and in-kind support and assistance to those who work on these issues.
- To contribute to the education system of North Macedonia, to carry out foundation activities both in the country and abroad, within the framework of the Macedonian Constitution, laws, and the institutions of the system, in an organized manner with Macedonian citizens, within the permission of the legislation. For this purpose, open private schools, all kinds of education and training facilities, institutions that will carry out scientific research activities, and similar education and training institutions at the level of primary, high school, and higher education to serve students in the country and abroad, in line with the objectives of our foundation.
- Contributing to the implementation of modern and cutting-edge education systems in Macedonia and to the training of useful patriotic citizens in Macedonian society.
- To give awards to those who do research in the field of Balkan studies.
- To carry out developmental educational activities for families, youth, and children, to follow the innovations in the field of education, to produce content on audio, video, print, and internet, and social media channels, to prepare publications for families, children, and young people to continue their physical and spiritual development in a healthy way. and publish. To organize symposiums, congresses, workshops, etc. by conducting studies and research on family, youth, and children. To this end, cooperate with public and private institutions, and to organize joint programs.
